40k drop pod door armor
Other designs are documented on Instagram and are slowly being uploaded to Thingiverse. If you print it or get any use out of it on the tabletop would love to hear about it. We mainly cover Warhammer 40k, Fantasy, Age of Sigmar, Warmachine, Hordes, X-Wing, Infinity, Horus Heresy, and Star Wars Armada.
#40k drop pod door armor how to#
I'm pretty happy with this one, mostly just because I think it's a cool idea. It is our mission to bring you the latest from the miniature wargaming scene, from narrative missions, hobby how to tutorials, battle reports, unboxings and reviews, retro flashbacks, news, rumors and more. This is still a sort of work in progress, I am reasonably happy with the drop pod shell but the door needs some work still. Without this the part tends to pop off the build plate just as the print is getting to the end (and man is it annoying when its at the 95% mark and then you end up missing the top of your print).
When printing the DRO-POD SHELL (PT1) I lowered it by 2mm (-2mm on the Z axis). I printed the DRO-POD SHELL (PT1) using Cura's Standard Quality profile settings and the DRO-POD DOOR (PT2) using Cura's Dynamic Quality profile settings. Hello Readers, thanks for dropping by to have a look at my latest addition to the Relictors Battle Company arsenal, a Terminus Ultra Pattern Land Raider - this is a beast of a tank and in these days of Imperial Knights and 40K scale Titans, this tank was originally designed as over. I sliced in Cura and printed using an Ender 3. Relictors Space Marine Land Raider - Terminus Ultra Pattern. In my defence, while a lot of my meshes may be a little dodgy they are also free. One day I will sort all of my meshes so that there is no non-manifold or loose geometry etc. The interior of the pod has bits of detail such as levers, a medi-pack and various MacGuffins. I thought these would be good narative props for kill team boards. Long Version: Covertly deliver specialised kill teams to a planets surfaces from orbit or drop heavy infantry into the heart of battle. IMPORTANT: When slicing lower the DRO-POD Shell (PT1) on the buildplate by 2mm (Z axis -2mm).
Short Version: Single seat infantry drop pod, inspired by the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers drop pod from Halo Two components, drop pod shell (PT1) and drop pod door (PT2).
